DVM
Dr. Isaac Karimi is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Science, Razi University, Iran. He obtained his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from Shahr-e-Kord University (1998–2004) and later pursued his Doctor of Veterinary Sciences (DVSc) in Physiology at Urmia University (2004–2008). His academic journey also includes international research experiences, including visits to Uppsala University, Sweden (Functional Pharmacology and Neuroscience, 2025) and Universidad Juárez Autónoma de Tabasco, Mexico (2011), where he gained expertise in enzymology, aquaculture biochemistry, ecotoxicology, and microbial ecology. Dr. Karimi’s multidisciplinary research spans enzymology, behavioral neuroscience, ecophysiotoxicology, ethnomedicine, nanotoxicology, computational biosciences, and translational physiology. He has pioneered studies on enzyme kinetics, neurobehavioral models, Kurdish ethnomedicine, and the biological effects of nanocompounds. His work integrates both experimental and computational approaches, with recent emphasis on bioinformatics, biomathematics, foodinformatics, vaccinomics, and network medicine.

Founded Laboratory for Computational Physiology and Research Group of Bioengineering and Biotechnology at Razi University.
Set up multiple specialized labs: enzymology, behavioral neuroscience, rumen protistology, food chemistry, cryogenic, and desert laboratory.
Teaching & Mentorship
Taught physiology, biochemistry, neurophysiology, immunology, enzymology, computational neuroscience, and academic writing at undergraduate, MSc, and PhD levels.
Supervised numerous BSc, MSc, and PhD projects in physiology, pharmacology, biotechnology, and computational sciences.
Entrepreneurship
Founder of Rozhan Salamat Arad Co. (2024) – producing biofertilizers, bio-silica, algal-based feeds, lanolin-based products, lotions, and bioreactors.
