Dr. Hélcio S. Santos holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and Master's and Ph.D. degrees in Organic Chemistry from the Federal University of Ceará. He completed postdoctoral research focused on bioactive organic compounds using zebrafish models. He is an Associate Professor at the State University Vale do Acaraú (UVA) and serves as a faculty member in several graduate programs while coordinating a postgraduate program in Natural Sciences. He is an Associate Editor and Editorial Board Member for multiple international journals, maintains international collaborations, and has extensive experience in natural products chemistry, organic synthesis, and biological evaluation of natural and synthetic compounds.
