Prof. Dr. Leonard-Ionut Atanase is a leading polymer scientist specializing in drug delivery systems, polymeric micelles, hydrogels, nanocapsules, and biomaterials for biomedical applications.
He received his PhD in France and has extensive postdoctoral and academic experience in European research institutions. He has published over 100 ISI-indexed papers, contributed to internationally recognized book chapters, and has an H-index of 30.
He has coordinated and collaborated on more than 12 research projects and participated in over 300 scientific events. Since 2022, he is listed in the Top 2% Most Influential Scientists by Stanford University.
His work drives innovation in controlled drug release, tissue regeneration, and polymer therapeutics.
