Dr. Simone Aloisio was born in Rome, Italy, where he completed his early education at a Scientific High School before graduating cum laude in Medicine from Sapienza University of Rome. He is currently serving as a Neurologist and pursuing a PhD in Clinical Experimental Neuroscience at the Department of Human Neuroscience, Sapienza University of Rome. His academic and clinical career is dedicated to advancing the understanding of movement disorders, with a particular focus on clinical neurophysiology and translational biomarkers in Parkinson’s disease and atypical parkinsonism. Dr. Aloisio is an active member of several prestigious neurological associations, including the European Academy of Neurology (EAN), the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society (MDS), the Italian Society of Neurology (SIN), the Italian Association for Movement Disorders (LIMPE-DISMOV), and the American Academy of Neurology (AAN).
Clinical Research Participation:
Actively serves as a Sub-Investigator in several national and international clinical trials on Parkinson’s disease, atypical parkinsonism, and neurodegenerative movement disorders, including studies sponsored by BIOGEN, BIAL, and Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Neurologico Carlo Besta, Milano.
Publications and Scientific Output:
Author and co-author of numerous peer-reviewed scientific papers published in high-impact journals such as Movement Disorders Clinical Practice, Neurological Sciences, BMJ Neurology Open, and the International Journal of Molecular Sciences.
