Dr. Rana Ahmed Youness (H-index = 27) is an Assistant Professor of Molecular Genetics and Biochemistry and Group Leader of the Molecular Genetics Research Team (MGRT) at the Faculty of Biotechnology, German International University (GIU). She earned her B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. from the German University in Cairo (GUC) with highest honors. Her research focuses on non-coding RNAs in cancer biology, gasotransmitter signaling pathways, and natural anti-cancer compounds. She has authored over 60 publications, served as editor/reviewer in top-tier journals, and received prestigious awards including the L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Award (2023) and the State Encouragement Award in Medical Sciences (2022). Her team collaborates globally with institutions across Europe, Asia, and the USA
